How much PPF costs and what sets the price
PPF is not quoted by the metre, it is quoted by package. We explain what separates one package from the next and what else pushes the figure up.

Quoted by coverage, not by the metre
For PPF we work with three fixed packages: Partial Front, Full Front and Full-body protection. The difference between them is how much surface they cover, not the quality of the material or the care taken during fitting. All three include the same preparation and the same edge checks.
It is a more honest way to quote than charging by the metre. Film is not sold in strips: each piece is planned around the specific model, and a bumper produces material waste that a bonnet does not.
What separates one package from the next
- Partial Front
- Covers the highest-risk areas at the front: bumper, headlights, the leading sections of the bonnet and wings, mirrors and the area around the handles. It is the entry point and the most contained of the three.
- Full Front
- The whole bonnet and both wings, with no cut line halfway across a panel. The price rises with the covered area, but the visible edge across the bonnet disappears, which is what bothers many people about the partial package.
- Full-body protection
- The entire body under film. It is the longest job we do and also the most expensive: every panel is fitted separately and each perimeter is checked piece by piece.
- Individual areas
- Headlights, sills, door edges, handle areas and interior trim. They can be booked separately or added to a package.
Size matters, shape matters more
Two cars with the same total surface area can cost quite different amounts. A flat side can be covered in one piece; a bumper with grilles, sensors, cameras and sharp lines means planning the cut, applying heat and tension slowly, then checking every edge.
Lights are the other area that takes time. A headlight with plenty of curves has to be worked in several stages, and the difference between models is real even when the part is the same size.
The condition of the paint
PPF is transparent and hides nothing. Everything left underneath shows through the film and stays there until it is removed years later. That is why preparation is not an extra: it is part of the job.
Washing, decontamination and degreasing are always included. Paint correction is assessed separately because it depends entirely on the condition of the car when it arrives: on a newly registered car it is usually a quick pass, while on one with years of brush washes behind it, correction can take more bay time than the film itself.
Film type and disassembly
Disassembly is where the difference between two similar quotes shows most. Water has no way under an edge tucked inside; it does under one cut flush.
- Clear, matte or coloured film: the materials do not cost the same and they are not fitted in the same way.
- Parts removed so the film can be tucked inside instead of cut at the edge.
- Spoilers, diffusers and trim that have to come off before work starts.
- Removal of old PPF, which is a separate job assessed on the car.
- Interior pieces, such as the piano-black centre console, when added to the same job.
What our quote always includes
If taking the car apart reveals something that changes the job, we stop and call you. Nothing is added without your approval.
- Surface preparation: washing and degreasing
- Material and consumables
- Labour and bay time
- Final check of edges and joins
- Care instructions when the car is handed back
- Written warranty, with the material reference and term
How to ask for a PPF quote
A little information is enough for a realistic range the same day, but it has to be specific: make, model and year, whether the car is new or already has some miles on it, which package interests you and two or three photos in daylight. If any area has stone chips or flaking paint, include a close-up of it.
The final price is agreed after seeing the car at the workshop, before we touch anything.
FAQ
Which is the most contained package?
The Partial Front. It covers the areas where gravel actually strikes without covering the whole bonnet and wings, so it uses the least material and is the most affordable of the three.
Can I start with the front and add more later?
Yes. Individual areas can be booked separately or added to a package. Bear in mind that every workshop visit needs its own preparation, so doing it all at once costs less than splitting it across two visits.
Is paint correction included in the price?
Washing, decontamination and degreasing are, because fitting cannot start without them. Correction is assessed separately and depends on the actual condition of the clear coat, which we measure and show you before starting.
Does matte or coloured film cost more?
The material price changes with the type of film, and so does the difficulty of fitting it. We tell you the difference for your particular car when you choose the finish.
What if the car already has old PPF?
Removing it is a separate service. Quality film comes off in one piece; dried-out or budget film breaks up and makes the job longer, so we assess that part with the car in front of us, not over the phone.
