Protection without changing the look
PPF is applied to the body and creates a durable protective layer that absorbs small impacts, friction, and environmental wear. The film can be clear or colored: in the first case it is almost invisible, in the second it also changes the shade of the body.
What PPF does — and what it cannot do
The film takes wear before the clear coat does. Protection depends on the chosen material, the covered area and the type of damage.
Scuffs and daily use
Surface marks land on the film, which can be replaced panel by panel. It does not stop every kind of scratch.
Fine scratches and heat
Some films recover fine surface marks with heat. We check this property for the chosen reference; it does not repair cuts.
The paint underneath
PPF does not correct existing defects or hide failing clear coat. We inspect the base and agree preparation before installation.

Coverage
Partial front covers part of the bonnet and wings; full front covers those panels in full. Full-car coverage adds the sides, roof and rear. The panel list and edge finishing are agreed for your car in the quote.
Film finish
PPF can be clear, matte or coloured. Before choosing, we discuss the finish you want and specify the material reference and its terms; a package name alone does not identify the film.
Paint condition
Film does not repair chips, scratches or clear-coat defects. We inspect the paint and assess the preparation needed before fitting it; any correction is included in the assessment of the work.

Preparation and installation
How we fit it
1. Paint inspection
We inspect the clear coat, repainted areas and existing defects before covering them. Film does not repair them.
2. Washing and decontamination
We wash, decontaminate and degrease the surfaces to be covered.
3. Correction if needed
Paint correction is considered only if its condition requires it and is agreed before fitting the film.
4. Stripping down
Disassembly depends on the model and access to the edges. We agree what is removed and which edge finishes are possible.
5. Application
We apply film panel by panel, fitting it to curves and checking tension and edges.
6. Curing and handover
We check the installation and provide settling and washing instructions for the chosen material. The handover date is agreed in the quote.

Where a PPF job goes wrong
Common PPF installation mistakes

Protection with warranty
The installation warranty is up to 3 years; the exact term and conditions are stated in writing in the quote. It covers application defects with no external cause.
The material warranty is separate and depends on the film chosen. It is not its service life and does not cover impacts that puncture the film or damage from incorrect maintenance.
Removing, replacing and maintaining PPF
The film has a service life and is designed to be sacrificed: the impacts it takes are exactly its job, not a defect.
Removing the film
At the end of its life, PPF comes off with controlled heat. Over sound factory clear coat, what is underneath is the paint the film has kept isolated; a weak respray is checked before removal.
The condition and age of the film affect removal. Dried-out film may break into pieces; we assess removal on the car, particularly if another workshop fitted the material.
Replacing a damaged panel
If the film on a bumper or a bonnet takes an impact that punctures it, only that piece is replaced. The whole package does not have to be redone.
That is one of the advantages of working in defined zones: renewing a front end is far simpler and cheaper than renewing full-body coverage.
Maintaining PPF
- No roller tunnels: nothing lifts the film edges faster
- Hand wash with neutral shampoo and moderate pressure
- Do not aim the pressure lance straight at an edge
- Remove insects, tree sap and bird droppings early
- A ceramic coating over the film makes cleaning much easier
Checks and curing
For the first few days the film still has installation solution underneath and may show a slight haze or a small bubble. That is normal and clears as it cures; we tell you how long to wait before washing the car.
If haze or bubbles remain beyond the advised settling period, or an edge starts to lift, we inspect it. The condition of the film and surface determines whether the area can be corrected or needs replacing.

How is PPF different from vinyl wrap?
PPF is a polyurethane film built to take impacts; vinyl is built to change colour and finish. Both come clear and coloured, so the useful question is whether you want protection from stone chips or a different look.
Will the protective film be visible?
With a quality installation, PPF is very discreet. On large elements, the edges are almost invisible and the car keeps its original look.
Which should I choose: Full Front or Full Body?
Choose full front if your priority is covering the whole bonnet and wings. Consider full car if you also want film on doors, sides, roof and rear; either choice still leaves limits to what PPF can protect against.
Do scratches in PPF disappear?
It depends on the film: some materials can recover from light surface scratches with heat. They cannot repair cuts or punctures; we check this feature for the chosen reference, separately from the installation warranty.
How long does PPF last?
Service life depends on the film, exposure and maintenance; it is not the warranty period. We assess the material’s condition to decide when to remove or replace it.
What warranty does PPF come with?
Installation has up to 3 years of warranty, with the term and conditions written in the quote. Material terms are specified separately for the film. A warranty does not mean the paint cannot be damaged.
How many days does the car stay in the workshop?
We agree the timing after defining coverage and checking the paint. Preparation, installation and film settling are part of the job; drop-off and collection dates are confirmed in the quote.
How much does PPF installation cost?
There is no single price for every car. State the package and send the model, year and photos; if paint needs extra preparation, it is assessed before the quote is finalised.
