Headlight PPF in Valencia
We fit PPF to headlights to help against small chips and scuffs. We inspect the light unit first: a healthy surface needs cleaning and preparation, not necessarily polishing. Film does not restore an already degraded headlight.

Why headlights deteriorate
It is not bad luck: it is the combination of material and position.
Polycarbonate, not glass
Modern light units are polycarbonate with a protective lacquer layer. It is light and impact-resistant, but it scratches easily and its outer layer breaks down under sunlight.
They are in the front line
They sit on the most exposed part of the front end. Everything thrown up by the wheels of the car ahead reaches the bumper and the headlights first.
Yellowing does not wash off
When the outer layer breaks down, the headlight turns matte and yellowish. It can be brought back with a headlight polish, but every polish uses up material and cannot be repeated indefinitely.
Replacing them is expensive
Replacement and protection are different jobs. We inspect the headlight to decide whether it can receive film or needs another intervention.

Smoked film
Darkens the light unit and can reduce the light emitted. We do not promise unchanged headlight performance or that every tint meets ITV requirements; the option is reviewed before fitting.
Surface preparation and assessment
How we do it
1. Condition of the light unit
We check whether the headlight is sound or already has yellowing and micro-chipping. The film protects from the moment it goes on: it does not bring back a light unit that has already degraded.
2. Polishing first if needed
If the headlight is healthy, we clean and prepare it without routine polishing. If cloudy or yellow, we assess what can be restored before covering it.
3. Cleaning and degreasing
A thorough clean of the headlight and the area around it. Anything left under the film shows up badly on a surface that is clear and lit from behind.
4. Application
Wet installation with the film cut to the pattern for your model, wrapping around the edge where the light unit allows, so no cut edge is left in sight.
5. Drying and inspection
All the solution is worked out from underneath and the edges are checked. Some residual moisture can remain over the first few days; it clears on its own, and that is normal.

Installation with a warranty
Headlight installation carries up to 3 years of warranty, with the term and conditions in the quote. It does not cover a headlight that was already degraded or impacts that go through the film; the material has its own warranty.

How long does the film last on a headlight?
It depends on the film and exposure: a headlight takes stone chips head-on, and sun. When the film ages, it is removed with heat and replaced, as long as the lens is sound.
Can it go over headlights that are already yellow?
Not to restore clarity. Film does not correct yellowing; the light unit and possible restoration must be assessed first. Internal damage or cracks are not treated as a simple surface job.
Can the film be removed later?
Yes. It comes off with controlled heat without damaging the polycarbonate or the lacquer on the light unit.
Is it done in a day?
Timing depends on headlight condition and preparation needed. We agree it when assessing the car, without guaranteeing same-day handover.
Does it protect the rear lights too?
Yes, it can be applied to the rear lights, although they take far less impact. It is usually ordered along with the front ones for the sake of appearance.
